Here’s a laid back track for this rainy Monday morning (at least it’s raining in NY). Released in 2005 by Silversun Pickups, this track has been in my iTunes rotation for a while. I’ve always loved the beat, and the dynamic vocals are great, too. If you give it a listen, I can almost guarantee that by the end of the track you’ll be moving to the beat.

This was on Silversun Pickups’ 2005 EP, Pikul, which you can purchase on iTunes HERE for under $7. Their most recent album, Swoon, was released in 2009 and earned them a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Strange? I’d say so, considering they’ve been on the scene since 2002, but either way, if you want to hear their newer music you can check it out HERE.
