Slaughterhouse: My Life ft. Cee-Lo Green

April 29th, 2012 by Immaculate

I finally got around to listening to this new Slaughterhouse collaboration with Cee-Lo — which I never would have seen coming — and I’m loving it. The whole crew went in on their verses, and Cee-Lo killed the hook, so there are no complaints on my end. These guys have lyrics for days, so here are some of my favorites from this track:

“…Pulling out minks when the weather get Chilli: Left Eye sidekick,
Now don’t you n*ggas go chasing waterfalls” – Crooked I

“Hoping that your granny get to see you at the Grammy’s,
Get a call from your family that your Grandma passed.
You know what you promised her,
So you stay hot as a… thermometer dipped in lava,
So proud to be part of a conglomerate like THIS” – Joell Ortiz

“What a success story: the film plays it gets less gory,
My son didn’t know who his pop was for years,
Now it’s less Maury…” – Joe Budden

“…Now babe with the 34F’s adore me,
I took the rock in a hard place and made the best orgy” – Joe Budden

“As a kid I was poor playing tag, now I’m it” – Royce da 5’9″
