A.Dd+: Can’t Come Down

November 11th, 2011 by Immaculate

A.Dd+ is a Texas-based duo that I first got turned onto this past summer. Their bio describes their style pretty nicely:

Quirky yet streetwise, fun-loving yet dead serious, A.Dd+, the duo of Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy . . . [has] a recipe that falls somewhere between UGK’s downhome Southern cooking and the abstract vibes of the Native Tongues movement.

First up, turning a Toxic sample into an eerie hook with some chopped & screwed vox mixed in, A.Dd+ delivers a heavy track about pushing the limits of substance use.

Next, check out Insomniac Dreaming, a Black Milk-produced cut with lo-fi vibes and a smooth flow.
