Voted Most Random: Dirty Games & Can’t Stand Still

November 12th, 2010 by Adidef

11/11 at 11:11 drop is pretty sweet, not gonna lie. VMR sent over the mastered versions of two of their songs that just dropped, and they’re both really solid. Personally, my favorite of the two is Dirty Games. Really feeling the lyrics, and it has an infectious feel that makes you want to move. Can’t Stand Still has a more conventional indie rock feel, but can definitely get the crowd into it, especially with the nasty guitar solo and acapella at the end. Here’s some info on the band based out of Quinnipiac University, as sent over by lead vocalist Ian Reibeisen:

“In just a few months Voted Most Random has been able to cover more than some bands do in a year. They have been featured on Seventeen Magazine’s seventeen.com Freshman 15, opened for international touring act We the Kings and won the East Coast Indie Battle of the Bands to play at Warped Tour. VMR has a unique sound influenced by the work of of Blink-182, All Time Low, The Rocket Summer, Avenged Sevenfold, Dashboard Confessional and Lil’ Wayne. All the members have their own influences that they bring into the group, while similar, crafting a unique sound. -VMR

The band consists of Sal Salemme of Connecticut, Ian Reibeisen and Bennett Pisaniello of New York, Joe Mauti and Scott Gunter of New Jersey.”
