This tape came through the old inbox, and after taking a listen I really liked what Jay Fresh has done. Using Pretty Lights instrumentals Jay Fresh has laid down original lyrics creating an indie/electronic/hip-hop tape with a very unique sound.
A little info on Jay Fresh:
Jordan Michael Johnson, better known as Jay Fresh, is a hip-hop artist coming out of the indie music scene in Dallas. His compositions are mixtures of electronic beats with hip-hop overtones and while his style has been described by some as “eclectic modern hip-hop,” his appeal is increasingly defined by a more thoughtful focus on the lyrical.
